V&T Special Spinning-frame VFD Drive

I. Technics Introduction


The spinning-frame is main spinning machine. The yield and quality of spun yarn comprehensively reflects merits and shortcomings of each working procedure in spinning process.

The spinning-frame's production unit is spindle. The yield (kg) per thousand spindle hour is frequently used to measure production-level of spinning-frame.

The spinning mill's production scale is represented by total spindles of spinning-frame. The spinning yarn on each spindle would be broken for all kinds of reasons. The end breakage rate is frequently represented by number of broken ends per thousand spindle hour. The end breakage rate affects labour productivity, equipment productivity, spun yarn quality and workshop dust content.

The spinning-frame is a machine with the most dissipation energy in spinning. Decreasing end breakage rate and energy saving is a technical level mark of spinning-frame.

The textile inverter is rich in application experience in spinning industry,especially in spinning-frame industry. Through multiyear research,V&T understands each process flow and launches the dedicated inverter special for spinning-frame.


Its technics features are as follows:

a.Small yarn stage occupies 15% of total length,but end breakage rate is about 70%. The speed at small yarn stage can be decreased appropriately according to yarn status so as to decrease end breakage rate.

b. Middle yarn stage occupies 80% of total length. The end breaking is extremely few,occupying around 10%. The motor speed can be increased appropriately at this stage so as to improve efficiency.

c. Large yarn stage occupies 5% of total length. The end breaking is 20%. The motor rotation speed can be decreased appropriately at large yarn stage to decrease end breakage rate and improve the product quality.


The technics curve control at multistage speeds can be performed for frequency converter according to spinning-frame features. The running schematic diagram is shown in Fig. 1.

It can be known from Fig. 1 that low speed running of frequency inverter is effective at initial period and frequency speed drive outputs low speed running command;

After low speed running command is cancelled,the frequency converter runs according to a curve set by multistage speed technics. The frequency converter accelerates to multistage speed 1 for running.

Along with increase of the first stage length,frequency gradually increases. After running of the first stage length is completed,frequency converter runs at multistage speed frequency 2. This process changes at uniform speed;

Each section yarn length setting is increased in sequence. The parameter design can be set from full yarn length commencement,gradually decreasing each section length setting. Each section length is limited by the next section length.

It satisfies the following relation:the first length < the second length < the third length…….< The 13th lengthMonitoring for spinning machine status :It can display the running section position and shift number during work and perform real time record for current spinning length, pulse number and other multistage speed states.

It is provided with full yarn, impulse signal losing warning function. After program completes running for a cycle, output terminal Y1 outputs 2 ~ 3S impulses and then stops.


II. Functional Feature


Shift change control function,available for recording yield in each shift.

Warning function for full yarn and impulse signal lost.

Multistage speed technics curve control,reset function.

Independent meter quantity reset function, available for intermediate inspection.

Spinning machine status monitoring,text display unit is available for monitoring running status .

After completing a cycle, the program automatically returns to the starting point to get ready for the next time running.

Meter count function,high-speed roller pulsecount,not counting during equipment rest and recuperation.

Power-fail storage function,After power feed is recovered, it keeps on running from segment position and frequency before power-fail.


III. Mode of Connection

Input terminal function:

1 X1: When selecting spinning-frame function, start the inverter.

X2: Jog(the highest priority),low speed running signal. Low speed running signal is applicable for equipment finishing and is provided with higher priority than multistage speed. Set low speed running frequency through H1.00. The meter quantity in this stage will not be counted into total spinning length.

X3: Shift control signal(each time you press it, the shift number will be changed according to sequence of A, B, C and D). In order to be convenient for statistics of spinning quantity in each shift, switch on this terminal,then shift number changes according to sequence. It is equipped with 4 shifts, namely A, B, C and D.

Each time you switch on X3,then current shift number is converted into the next shift number. At this time, spinning meter quantity will autonomously increase to new spinning yield. The yield of each shift can be viewed through H1.21 ~ H1.24.

X4: Independent reset terminal(each time you press it, independent meter quantity will be reset to 0). The technics curve is not reset and used for debugging and judgment in pilot process.

X5: Reset terminal for current spinning meter quantity(each time you press it, current spinning meter quantity will be reset to 0). For technics curve reset signal, each time you press it, running speed will be returned to initial speed of curve setting for running over again.

X7: Roller impulse signal input. Magnetic induction type meter count pulse input. Each time roller rotates for a round, pulse number will be increased by 1.


Output terminal function:

RA,RB,RC : Output pulse after completion of curve,clear away pulse output during restart or when output time attains pulse output detection time;

Y1: When meter count impulse signal is lost,output alarm signal. This alarm signal disappears during restart;

Y2:During full yarn, output alarm signal. This signal disappears during restart.

Note:The function code setting for above terminals are P5.00 = 32, P5.01 = 33, P5.02 = 34, P5.03 = 35, P5.04 = 36. The impulse input is fixed as X7 terminal. P7.00 = 33, P7.01 = 34, P7.02 = 32.
