Stepping Motor and its driving circuit, stepping motor is an actuator that converts electrical pulse into angular displacement. When stepping driver receives a pulse signal, it drives the stepper motor to rotate a fixed angle in the set direction (This angle is called the distance angle).
We can control the angular displacement of the motor by controlling the number of pulses, thus achieving the purpose of accurate positioning;
At the same time, the speed and acceleration of the motor can be controlled by controlling the pulse frequency, thus achieving the purpose of speed regulation.
The first line, the phase, the polarity, the more unskilled, the more pretentious. 'Phase'It means that the stepping motor has several coils (Also called winding). 'Line'It means that the stepper motor has several wiring ports. 'Polarity'It is divided into unipolar and bipolar.
If the coil of the stepping motor is bidirectional conductive, then the stepping motor is bipolar. On the contrary, if the coil of the stepping motor is only unidirectional conductive, then this stepping motor is unipolar.
As long as you know two of the three above, you can infer the third.
For example, a five-wire four-phase stepping motor has five connecting ports and four coils.
Since there are five wiring heads, that is, the number of wiring heads is odd, that is to say, one wiring head is a common joint, so the conduction mode of its coil is only allowed to be unidirectional, that is, this stepping motor is unipolar.
As shown in the following figure: the four-wire bipolar stepping motor has four connecting ports, and the conductive mode allows bidirectional.
Since there are four connecting ports and the conductive mode is bidirectional, the stepping motor is two-phase.

The single-shot working mode means that only one coil is energized at a time, and the stepping motor is rotated by changing the coil that is energized each time.

A and B refer to the forward current through A and B coils ,-A 、-B refers to the reverse current of A and B wire loops.
Since the five-wire four-phase stepping motor cannot pass reverse current, there are only A, B, C and D.
